One Good Bumblebee is one of the best online shops I have ever visited. The website is designed beautifully, the shipping is FAST, and there is an endless amount of treasures to be bought! I just received these unicorn pins (on sale for $4!) and mousepad the other day! Next on my list is the Pile of Paper and Jar of Whimsies!

Both of us learned how to embroider a few weeks ago, and we are hooked! Here is my first attempt. I'm not sure what I will do with it yet. . . any suggestions? It's one of many cute little Clover animal patterns.

Speaking of gifts and things from Japan, take a look at this wonderful coin purse my sister got me in Kyoto. Thanks Amy! Where did that Octopus come from?

I recently received these wonderful Japanese Craft Books as a gift. The first book, "Machine Made Patchworks" features several patchwork crafts including Appliqué, Square patch, and Free stitch. It has some really nice illustrative instructions on how to make bags, aprons, pillows and more. The second book is entitled "One day embroidery with five stitches." It is filled with hundreds of outrageously cute embroidery patterns and demonstrates various stitching techniques. Thank you Kristin, for these lovely gifts!

Check this out! Cut & Paste is a digital design tournament that will be coming to Portland at the Wonder Ballroom on September 21st. It is sure to be a fun and inspiring event. There will be drinks, live projections, & music!

Woohoo! Introducing Squid37's most recent item: Fabric Necklaces! These necklaces are 1.5" x 1.5" square frames with fabric enclosed in glass. Each one is handmade with care, and double sided for versatility. You can find these at Sew, Mama, Sew! and we will be selling them at Last Thursday's on Alberta.

I was in need of some inspiration and ideas for aprons, as I am hoping to make a few for upcoming birthdays/holidays (and, ok, myself too). I found these at Anthropologie.com. Gorgeous!

I ordered this twill tape and needle container from The Small Object and couldn't have been more thrilled when the package arrived in the mail! I can't wait to place another order, the Super Star Stamp Necklaces are calling my name!

We picked up these Design-It-Yourself Matrioshka Dolls from Urban Outfitters the other day. They bring back wonderful memories! As children, both of us were fascinated with these wooden dolls, and we can't wait to try our hand at designing a set. Of course, we'll post the finished project. (Fabric in the background is from the West Hill Collection by Heather Ross from Sew, Mama, Sew!)

The delightful writer, actress, and artist Mirandy July is a huge inspiration to us! She reminds of the simple pleasures in life. We LOVE her movie Me, You and Everyone We Know (and the soundtrack too). Basically everything she does is spectacular. Take a look at her website.

We found this banana paper at Greg's, an adorable shop on Hawthorne that has a joyful selection of toys, cards, and gifts. Sorry to say we have no idea who designed this paper, or where in the world it came from! Thought you might enjoy looking at it though :)
