I love April. Even when it rains! Spring is wonderful, and so is this fabric-- April Showers from Alexander Henry.

Buying prints on Etsy is so exciting! We just purchased these three prints from Brandi Strickland's shop. Her mixed media collage work is spectacular, and will make the perfect addition to our office!

My friend Rebecca and I had our own little fabric swap, and look at the SO CUTE fabric I received! I love it, and am absolutely adoring it. We also did a small handmade goodie exchange: she made me two cupcake heat pads AND gave me these white floral hair clips from Etsy. Oh, and to top it all off a tiny card with an ice cream cone sticker on it! Ok—hearts, cupcakes, anchors, lobsters, polka dots, ice cream cones with smiley faces. . . seriously, what could be better?! NOTHING! Thanks Rebecca, you are awesome!!!

Hi guys, it's been a while! We've been so busy getting ready for the holidays, training for & running a half marathon in Vegas, and planning our June wedding! Anyway, we hope to start posting more entries. Here is a sneak peak of the Hello Betty fabric collection by Chloe's Closet for Moda. I'm super excited, it will be arriving at SMS very soon!
It's time, once again, for the Sew,Mama,Sew! Handmade Holidays!!! Be sure to stop by the SMS blog this month to get some wonderful gift ideas, tutorials, recipes and prizes!! There's a lot going on, and trust me you don't want to miss it! I must admit I wasn't excited about the holidays until I got to help out with this. . . now I'm PUMPED!
Some new prints we bought on Etsy for our living room. By another artist local to Portland: Hadley Hutton. It seems that we're definitely attracted to bird illustrations.

In doing research for a project I am working on, I have fallen in love with vintage fabric (particularly 1970's). I think all of these images are from the Vintage Fabric Flickr group which I happily joined!

This image has been sitting on my desktop inspiring me for weeks now.
The iluchka website is hot fun.
My friend and I spent quite a long time going through a huge basket of these super sweet fabric dolls. Trying to narrow it down and choose our favorites was tough (especially for a couple of indecisive ladies). Good thing the shop is a few hours away, otherwise I probably would have the whole basket by now!
