Just wanted to let you know about some fun stuff going on over at Sew, Mama, Sew! The '30 Days of Gifts To Sew' that we have been preparing is HUGE; each day in Novemeber there will be a different theme featuring several (marvelous) sewing tutorials, fabric, and pattern suggestions that go along with the theme. Kristin is also giving away two $25 gift certificates a week! There are so many inspirational ideas and tutorials for the holidays, I am anxious to get sewing! The swatches above are a couple of my recent favorites at Sew, Mama, Sew!

Radiohead just released their new album! If you go to their website you won't find a price listed anywhere, instead you can enter how much YOU WANT TO PAY (in pounds) for the album. We probably would have bought it anyway, but when we heard about this concept we had no choice! It's genious! { By the way, we hit our 50th post! }

I grabbed the last of this Flea Market Fancy fabric from Sew, Mama, Sew! It was supposed to be a skirt, but I made it too small, so I transformed it into this top.

Screen Printed Tote!

I made this tote with the fabric I screen printed! Perfect for this time of year in Portland!

Dinosaurs, Apples, and Rainbows galore!

   

My first shot at designing some fabric!!! We screen printed these last weekend in our basement (at 3 in the morning). Dinosaurs, Apples, and Rainbows. . . love this combination! We made quite a few, so if people like these I might put them up on Etsy.

Favorites Contest Winner

And the winner (only contestant!) of the Favorites Contest is Emily. This is her favorite recipe!!

Cilantro Jalepeno Hummus

2 cloves garlic
2 cans chick peas
3 T lime juice
½ tsp salt
½ c olive oil
¾ c fresh cilantro
2 fresh jalepenos seeded, minced

Put garlic in blender or food processor until minced. Add beans, salt, lime. With blender running add olive oil, process until thick 1-2 minutes. Add cilantro and jalepenos, pulse through.
