Aprizi!
Aprizi is a young startup in NYC creating a "Pandora for shopping", focused on emerging designers, artisans and independent brands. I am so excited to recently join their team of curators! We're searching the web for the best of the best. I highly recommend taking a browse! And check out The Tail (Aprizi's blog)—gift guides all next week!

Alice Rosignoli
Very cool! Alice Rosignoli takes wood hangers and black ropes to create a product that shows how everyday goods used in their ordinary function can be transformed into a new concept.

Rainy Day
This is what Portland is like right now. I'm enjoying it!

Memories
This brings back a memory I have of my sister and I waiting outside our big brother's door when we were little. It's a story that involves a popcorn kernel getting stuck up my nose.

Portlanders! Little Winter is this weekend at The Cleaners! This FABULOUS event put together by Chelsea and Abby will include 20+ incredible artists/craftspeople. You won't want to miss it! Sure wish I could say that I will see you there, but sadly I will be out of town. Buy lots of good stuff and show me pictures!

Martin Pisotti
This photo exhibition by Martin Pisotti is awesome! I love the way the pictures are effortlessly scattered about, some in frames and some taped to the wall. Mite Gallery, Buenos Aires. Spotted here.
NY Fashion Week
Have you guys been enjoying fashion week?! I certainly have! Here are just a few of the looks I'm dying over. Top row: Rebecca Taylor, Rachel Comey, Reem Acra. Bottom row: Marc Jacobs. I'm saving a bunch of favorites for Color Collective, but I couldn't resist posting here too.

Things Organized Neatly
When I was little I would set out my outfits for each day of the week, labels and all. Totally OCD. If you are too, don't miss Things Organized Neatly.

More Toms!
Remember two posts ago when I said I wasn't ready for fall? Yeah, I'm over it. My obsession with Toms is out of control, but I must have these! Which color do you like better? (I'll probably go with black, but the thought of the brown with a pair of jeans is making me second guess!)
Yuko Takada Keller
I'm growing fond of delicate and dreamy installations. These two are by Yuko Takada Keller. Seen on Caludia's Blog.
Here's another magical installation

Summertime
Summer is still going strong in Portland and this year it's the simple things that I have been enjoying the most. Berry picking (*my FAVORITE), farmer's markets, bike rides, floating down the river, bbq's, wine on rooftops—these activities never get old. Even though I adore fall (shopping!), I'm not quite ready for it yet!

Rachel Bilson
Call it a girl crush if you want—I am madly in love with Rachel Bilson's style. This lady ALWAYS looks good from head to toe, and is no doubt the best dressed celebrity!

Falling Garden
What I wouldn't do to go back in time and see this amazing installation, Falling Garden, in person. The project was a collaboration of two swiss artists, Gerda Steiner and Jorg Lenzlinger, created for the 50th Biennial of Venice in 2003. Posted on The Jealous Curator.

My new ride!
Yesterday was so beautiful here in Portland, I decided to go out and purchase a bike that has gears! This is it! Perfect, don't you think?! I still love my other bike, but gears are necessary around these parts. I can't concentrate on work, all I want to do is ride around and explore!

...
I could use a week of this. Image found via Dream and Wake.
P.S. I had way too much fun in ohio, and am sad to report that all my pictures suck! I don't think you would be interested in the shots of me singing karaoke (and even if you were, I wouldn't show you!)

I'm heading back to the midwest this week. I have 4 different cameras already packed (well, in my head) so I'll try to take some snaps for you guys! I'm ready for pool time, lightning bugs, bbq's, and celebrating the 4th like a true midwesterner. Hope you have a great week!

Intelligent Clashing
Intelligent Clashing is another blog I have been enjoying recently. I love the mixture of 80's/90's textbook-style photos, textiles, and images of current art/trends. Fabulous!

Blog Love
A few weeks ago I mentioned a size too small in one of my posts. Have you checked it out yet? Mariah blogs (from South Africa) about design, fashion and more. I truly look forward to each and every post! She has impeccable style and design taste, and pulls nothing but the best images. Today Mariah and her husband Andrew celebrate their first anniversary, so a very happy anniversary to you love birds!

Arizona
Went on a quick trip to Arizona over the weekend to visit the grandparents. We had a great time! My grandpa is quite the character! On Sunday we met a few of their friends for bagels, and I swear it could have been a Seinfeld episode.
More images here.

Lisa Stickley
Chelsea generously offered to lend me some of her old Domino magazines. I spent hours browsing through them the other night! A product of Lisa Stickley's was featured in one of the issues, and after checking out her online shop, I was NOT disappointed! The makeup bags are splendid, and I just love those florals and stripes! Very cute indeed!
